Riverside Cemetery is a lovely peaceful place where many come to walk visit, grieve, birdwatch, and enjoy the trees. All of this takes place in an urban/suburban area surrounding our 50 acres. As such, everyone must take personal responsibility for safety and security.
Because we do not wish to penalize the very ones who have a right and reason to be at Riverside Cemetery by limiting their access, we ask our families and visitors to keep in mind that there is reason to exercise safety and security measures for those who visit and for items left at gravesites. All cemeteries experience some theft and all in our society must exercise safety. Riverside has taken the following measures:
Our Goal: For all to continue to find a meaningful experience here at Riverside Cemetery and to continue to make it a beautiful place to be.
To do so, we ask all to please...
Abide by the cemetery regulations.
Do not walk alone.
Do not enter the cemetery after dark.
Do not make your family's grave site an invitation to theft.
